Three ways to get ready for birth.
A weekly pregnancy yoga class in the middle of Lymington, private one-to-one sessions shaped around you and your baby, and a full eight-hour hypnobirthing course. I trained specifically in pregnancy yoga and hypnobirthing, and I teach from 14 weeks right up to your due date.
What is pregnancy yoga?
Pregnancy yoga is a class built around a changing body: slow, supported postures for the legs, back and hips that carry you, breath you can use in labour, and proper rest. In my Wednesday class in Lymington the hypnobirthing breathwork is woven through every week, so you have time to practise and become familiar with it. Beginners are the majority.

When you can join
I teach from 14 weeks — the start of the second trimester — onwards. I don't take bookings for the first trimester.
Build
Strength for the carrying months: legs, back and posture, with the hypnobirthing toolkit practised weekly.
Prepare
Positions for labour, breath for each stage, and time for supported rest.
General class descriptions, not medical advice. Check with your midwife or GP before starting, and tell me about your pregnancy on booking.
Where are you now?
Private sessions, built around you
I teach one-to-one throughout pregnancy — an hour shaped entirely by where you are and what you're carrying, in a way a group class never can be. Some people come once; others come every week until their baby arrives.
Alongside general pregnancy sessions, there are three that people ask for again and again:
Exploring positions for birth
We can explore supported positions and gentle movement in the last weeks of pregnancy, taking into account what your midwife has suggested.
When your baby is overdue
If you are past your due date, a private session offers time for gentle movement, breathing and rest while you wait.
When you're frightened about giving birth
This is where my hypnobirthing training does the most work. A one-to-one lets me take the parts of the course you actually need — the breath, the relaxation, the plain explanation of what's happening — and build the whole hour around your particular fear, at your pace, with nobody else in the room.
One-to-one sessions work alongside your midwife's care, never instead of it. Tell me what you've been advised and I’ll build around it.
The eight-hour hypnobirthing course
The weekly class weaves the breathwork in a little at a time. The course is the whole thing: eight hours, taught privately to you and your birth partner, covering calm breath for each stage of labour, how birth actually works, what to do when the plan changes, and a confident role for whoever stands beside you. It comes with an optional £40 pack of MP3 tracks and printable guides for your hospital bag.
Questions mums actually ask
When can I start, and how late can I keep coming?
I teach from 14 weeks — the start of the second trimester — and you can keep practising right up to your due date. I don't take bookings for the first trimester. Every class is adapted as your pregnancy changes; if you're unsure where you fit, just ask.
I've never done yoga. Is that a problem?
No. The pregnancy class is built for complete beginners as well as experienced practitioners. Everything is taught from scratch in plain English, postures are slow and supported with bolsters and props, and nobody is pushed into a shape that isn't theirs that day.
Where and when does pregnancy yoga run in Lymington?
Wednesday at 10:45 at HBY Studio, 44 High Street, Lymington SO41 9YS — right in the middle of town. £15 a class, or £52 for a four-week course.
Is hypnobirthing included in the class?
Yes. The hypnobirthing content is woven through the weekly class rather than sold separately: every session opens with the same breathwork you will reach for in labour, with time to practise regularly. There's also an optional £40 resources pack — all the hypnobirthing MP3 tracks plus printable guides for your hospital bag, labour positions and your birth partner.
What is hypnobirthing, in one sentence?
A set of breathing, relaxation and focus techniques for labour — and in this class you practise them weekly, so they are automatic when you need them.
Can my partner come?
Once a month the class becomes a partner session, so the breath and support techniques are shared with the person who will be in the room with you.
Can I attend after a caesarean or complicated pregnancy?
Speak to your midwife or GP first, then message me. Classes stay small — ten people at most — so postures can be adapted individually to whatever your body needs.
What do I bring?
Yourself, water, and layers. Mats, bolsters, blankets and cushions all live at the studio.
Between classes
Sanctuary, the Soma Bloom members' app.
Tell it you are pregnant and it quietly follows your weeks: pregnancy practices first, the Wednesday class in your calendar, a circle of the other mums-to-be, and my recorded rests as I add them. Your due date never leaves your phone.
